Welcome

Welcome to the MOTOR-MPO website.
The Policy Board and I are so excited about the renewed involvement of the Metropolitan Planning Organization in the Midland-Odessa area. Since 1965 the MPO has been a steward of the transportation planning process in the Midland-Odessa area. We approved a significantly expanded Public Participation Plan at the Policy Board Meeting on July 26, 2007, which emphasizes the importance of early, on-going public involvement in the transportation planning process. We strongly believe that early public involvement enables the MPO to make more informed decisions, improve quality through collaborative efforts, and build mutual understanding and trust between the MPO and the public.

Transportation planning affects everything we do on a daily basis. There are many factors in the process of building and constructing transportation infrastructure. This website will allow you to become informed about important transportation issues within the Midland-Odessa area boundaries, and will provide you with an opportunity to participate in the transportation planning process.

Please be patient with us as build our website. Please check back periodically as we update and change information. We view our website as a way to keep you informed and up to date on transportation issues that effect the citizens of the Midland-Odessa communities.

Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)

The MPO is currently updating its 2035 long-range Metropolitan Transportation plan, and we are asking for your help!

Tell Us About Your Transportation Problems:

Visit our interactive map , to tell us about specific locations in the Midland-Odessa region that could benefit from a  transportation improvement.  Your comment could be about an existing problem that needs fixing (e.g., a congested roadway, a dangerous intersection, a crumbling sidewalk, or an issue with an existing bus route) or could be about a transportation opportunity that could improve the quality of life in the region (e.g., a new connector road, bike route, sidewalks, or transit service).  Alternatively, you can send us an email at mtp@motormpo.com.  Your feedback will assist us in identifying areas that need to be addressed through our long-range transportation plan.
