Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)
The MPO is currently updating its 2035 long-range Metropolitan Transportation plan, and we are asking for your help!
Getting the Public Involved
To date, the MPO has:
- Assembled a Key Stakeholders Group to help guide the MTP update process. At the first meeting, participants learned about the development of the 2035 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, the scenario planning/community visioning process, and how they will help “spread the word” about the MPO’s planning process.
- Conducted an On-line Community Survey. We welcome you to view the results .
- Conducted a Community Visioning/Scenario Planning Public Workshop. We welcome you to view the meeting summary.
- Conducted a second community workshop to solicit input on a preferred development scenario. The input received from this workshop was then discussed at our second meeting of our Key Stakeholders Group. Based upon these two meetings, we have generated a preferred development scenario.
Please visit the summary of these meetings. In addition, we have updated the map of our preferrred development scenario. - Conducted a series of thematic roundtable discussions on the following
topics: Freight and Goods Movement, Community Services, Economic and Community Development, and Multi-modal Transportation. In addition, we held a wrap-up discussion with members of our Key Stakeholder Group. A summary of these roundtable discussions can be found here. - During the last week of May, the MPO will participate in a series of joint meeting with entities from the Cities of Midland and Odessa:
* Joint Planning and Zoning Commissions Meeting (Tuesday, May 26 at 8:30 am at the MOTOR MPO Conference Room)
